Mudroom Ambassador Sarah Hallas' Packing Tips

Mudroom Ambassador Sarah Hallas' Packing Tips

by Tom Fritz December 11, 2017

Packing is one of the most stressful parts of destinations races for me.  I hate it more than unpacking even, probably because it takes me so long!  I now have a list that I reference every time since every race pretty much requires the same necessities.  Lucky for me, my Mudroom backpack is the perfect pack to fit it all.  I use it for my carry-on since not only is the durability unmatched, but I never check my racing flats or gear just in case my checked bag is lost.  That’s where the convenience of all the pack compartments are so imperative. My racing flats fit easily in the side shoe compartments so my favorite shoes stay safe thru all my travels. I keep my race-day chews, gels, hair-ties & chapstick in the front pouch; socks, sunglasses, race clothes, warmup clothes, gloves, hat, chaffing gel, sunblock & snacks in the main compartment, & of course my hydration in the water bottle holders.  It even has a safe, padded back pocket in the main compartment to store my laptop,  ipad & books, which is absolutely necessary while traveling with a 3-year old.  This bag goes everywhere with me & has made my race travel, much less stressful.
